No-one can deny that times are tough! And one cannot be blamed for thinking, is it all worth it?


Which is exactly why I am writing this blog. BECAUSE IT IS.


Remember These 4 Things:

1 Everybody is in the same boat and they are desperately looking for something to feel good about.

2 Alcohol works but is not a 24 hour fix. Being well-groomed is. This is why hairdressing falls into the Wellness Industry.

3 A visit to the salon is the quickest and cheapest way for clients to feel good about themselves.

4 Feeling good about yourself is the most important element of success.


So what are YOU really selling? Haircuts and Wellness!

Retain a positive mental attitude and let gratitude determine your attitude.

Don't let your own mind and the opinions of the people around you convince you that the fight is not worth fighting!


Plan to succeed.

Success does not come before action and action doesn't come before thought. Whether you think you can succeed or think you can't, you're probably right.


Don't lose sight of the end game.

If you are not working towards a vision you have of your business, get one. Happy staff, happy clients, successful business.


Be pro-active.

If business is quiet, make a noise. Clients go where they are invited. Look for every opportunity to invite them into your salon, SMS them, run promotions, pre-book their next appointment before they leave the salon - they all work.
